Jeremy worked as a supervisor for a landscaping company. He was leaning into the passenger side of his work truck while on a job when a newly licensed 16-year-old crashed into the back of his truck. The collision created a domino effect and Jeremy’s work truck slammed into him, delivering a vicious blow to Jeremy’s head which resulted in a serious traumatic brain injury.
After the accident, Jeremy began suffering from memory loss, clouded thoughts, and other mental health issues. These impairments affected his job performance and left him unable to perform his duties as a supervisor. Jeremy was suffering from his brain injury and was overwhelmed with calls and documents from insurance companies. He needed help.
“[I was] getting nowhere with the insurance company they wanted to give me $80 for a massage and it just felt like paperwork after paperwork I was trying to complete and I needed to talk to this person, this person, and it just kept going in circles.” - Jeremy
Curtis Bickers and Kat Courtney of VB Attorneys were able to fight for Jeremy and settle his case despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Through this whole process, this pandemic, they made sure I had their cell phone numbers. Kat put a lot of work in for me, [she] would just ask about my personal life, make sure I'm okay. Same with Curtis and Curtis wouldn't settle for anything but the max policy with the insurance company, and that's what he got for me.” - Jeremy
Jeremy hired VB Attorneys in 2017. Curtis took his case and worked hard over the years to see that Jeremy was fairly compensated. In light of the coronavirus pandemic, Curtis mediated against Allstate via Zoom and settled his case for the maximum policy limits of $250,000.00.
“Jeremy is an unbelievable person and has been one of my favorite clients to ever represent.” - Curtis Bickers of VB Attorneys
