Kathryn or Kat as we like to call her, joined VB Attorneys as a paralegal to attorney Curtis Bickers. Kat has been a distinguished litigation paralegal since 2015 and her proficiency and legal-savvy have made her one of our strongest resources. Kat is committed to providing her clients with the attention and care they deserve and her experience working on personal injury, commercial vehicle accidents, and wrongful death cases make her a tough litigation paralegal who’s able to tackle complex cases from start to finish. 

Before moving to Houston, Kathryn lived in our state’s capital Austin, Texas for over a decade. There Kat worked at a couple of large personal injury law firms where she gained experience and climbed her way through the ranks. She made a name for herself as a bright paralegal with tremendous legal know-how and tenacity. But was not fulfilled. “You know, I wanted to work for a law firm where I could build personal relationships with my clients. I think VB has allowed me to do that,” says Kat. For Kat, the legal work in the cases is only half of the job. She explains, “Getting to know my clients on a personal level helps Curtis and I build stronger cases. That’s why I keep constant communication with my clients. They know they can call me and talk to me about any of their problems. No matter how big or small”. 

When Kathryn is not working hard for our clients, she is following the news and engaging in political activism. She also enjoys watching Netflix and spending time with her dog. Kat’s favorite food is seafood and she enjoys attending music festivals and exploring new craft beers.
