Were You Hurt Working for SEACOR Marine? Our Maritime Lawyers Can Help.

Brian Beckcom

SEACOR Marine is a Houston-based marine transportation company that focuses on providing transport support services for offshore energy facilities worldwide.

Unfortunately, SEACOR Marine has a history of not protecting their dedicated maritime and offshore workers. On their website, they claim that they focus on “protecting [their] greatest assets.” They also claim that “our people are at the core of our success,” yet they have acted negligently in the past and have not accepted responsibility for their actions. This has resulted in multiple lawsuits filed against them for their negligence, forcing them to accept responsibility.

Most recently, on April 13, 2021, a SEACOR Marine liftboat capsized eight miles off Port Fourchon, Louisiana, involving the 129-foot SEACOR Power, leaving a dozen people missing out of the 18 people originally on board. The lift boat that SEACOR Marine was using was likely a typical lift boat that is a self-propelled and self-elevating barge-like vessel that is used for various maritime and offshore jobs for oil and gas activities. They are dangerous, especially when they are being used in inclement weather.

You Have Rights As a Maritime Worker

Maritime and offshore workers work in dangerous environments on a regular basis. They are exposed to risks and potential injuries, and they must trust their employer to set them up for safety and success. If you have been injured while working on your maritime or offshore job, you have legal rights under the Jones Act. The Jones Act provides injured workers with the necessary benefits, such as lost wages and medical coverage. Every injured worker deserves proper care and compensation, and at VB Attorneys, we aggressively fight to ensure your needs are met.

If you have been injured while working for SEACOR Marine, we are here to help. We are extremely experienced in working with dedicated maritime workers on their Jones Act claims when their employers have endangered their lives and well-being. We are committed to ensuring that no one is left without the coverage that they deserve. We have an extensive Jones Act Claims and Maritime Injuries practice that is informed by our success in fighting for the rights of injured maritime workers.

We are here to help.

Federal maritime law and the Jones Act are extremely complicated. Only a handful of law firms and lawyers across the country handle these types of complex cases. Even fewer have a track record of success when it comes to helping injured mariners get the compensation they deserve for their Jones Act claims.

As two of the leading lawyers in the country handling offshore drilling rig cases, Brian Beckcom, Vuk Vujasinovic, and the team at VB Attorneys are often called upon by injured maritime workers for help. Our maritime lawyers have handled multiple cases against the largest maritime and offshore companies. Contact us if you are in need of legal assistance.
