VB Investigates: 3 Dead, 14 Injured in Greyhound Bus Crash

On July 12, 2023, a Greyhound bus crash on I-70 near Highland, Illinois, left three people dead and 14 injured. The bus was traveling from Indianapolis to St. Louis when it hit three semi-trucks that were parked in the off-ramp of a rest stop. VB Attorneys is looking into the accident.

The Accident

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it is believed that the bus driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. The crash occurred at approximately 2:00 AM and the bus was carrying at least 15 people, including the driver. The impact of the crash into the semi-trucks caused the bus to overturn and burst into flames. Three were killed in the crash and the 14 people who were injured were taken to area hospitals. Their injuries range from minor to serious.
