You Only Pay When We Win
Marshall, a former tugboat captain, slipped and fell on an ice-covered surface while walking down the stairs from the wheelhouse to the bottom decks of a vessel. This incident altered his life, leaving him unable to work due to severe pain in his head, neck, and lower back. Concerned about their future, Marshall and his wife contacted VB Attorneys to discuss their case.
Read what Marshall has to say about his experience with VB Attorneys:
“On February 15, 2021, I was the tugboat captain and I was trying to get out of the wheelhouse to go to bed and the boat was covered in ice.
So I fell. I walked out and tried to shut the door, but when I tried to shut the door I fell backward, headfirst, about 23 feet, and caused my injury. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to work once I had this surgery.
I got 14 screws and 4 rods in my neck. My injury is part of the reason why I can’t work anymore.”
“I had a friend who works for an attorney, and she referred us over here to VB Attorneys. I loved this whole office. Everybody has been nice to me, treated me with open arms and Brian’s been real good. Patti has been lovely. Patti did everything for me.
They handled the case good, for me going in here not knowing what I was expecting, Brian did me good. I don’t have any complaints about what he’s done for me. I’d use him again if I had to.”
After carefully reviewing the facts of our client’s case, we secured a Jones Act settlement for Marshall, affirming his constitutional right to compensation for his injuries.
“Well, I already bought myself a house and I bought me and my wife, new vehicles. And now we're just gonna live like we were still living before I got hurt.
Brian is very knowledgeable, and he knows what he was talking about during the deposition, mediations, and all that. He worked with me very well. So I don't have no complaints about Brian.
I’d like to thank everybody in the office for what they've done for me because if it wasn't for them, I don't know where I would be right now if I didn't have them.”
