The loss of a loved one is devastating, even more so when it's a young man about to graduate high school and begin his life. The Overstreet family is in our thoughts and prayers and we are so grateful we could help them.

The Crash

On September 24, 2021, Cole O., a high school senior, was headed home after a Friday night football game. He was driving down FM 350 in Livingston, Texas when a drunk driver miscalculated a turn and crashed head-on into Cole. The drunk driver, Roy Wagner, fled the scene, never checking on Cole or his passenger. Tragically, Cole was pronounced dead at the scene.

This accident is even more tragic considering that Roy Wagner has had multiple DWIs, receiving a slap on the wrist for each one. The DA and Roy's defense continue to debate his culpability, but this argument will not heal the Overstreet family.

Fighting for Justice

Our community is devastated by the loss of Cole, his life was just beginning, and those who knew and loved him continue to mourn the loss of such a bright young man. The Overstreet family has used the settlement to set up a scholarship fund in Cole's name at his high school.
