A car struck her outside Best Buy
On October 31, 2011, Kristin was walking toward a Best Buy store when a driver shifted his vehicle into drive instead of reverse. The car crashed into the storefront and struck her.
Kristin worked as a beautician in Houston. Her knee injury made the long hours of standing difficult. Her treatment needs and the disruption to her work added financial pressure.
A new lawyer after a year of frustration
Kristin initially worked with another attorney. After about a year, she still had knee pain and an unresolved claim. In her own account, she described difficulty getting answers and feeling that her continuing knee pain had not been addressed.
A friend whose husband had worked with Brian recommended him. Kristin spoke with Brian, and he agreed to take over the case.

A $100,000 policy-limits settlement
Brian secured a $100,000 settlement from Farmers Insurance, reaching the available policy limit.
In her client testimonial, Kristin said Brian settled the case within a couple of months after taking over. She explained that the result allowed her to obtain the knee surgery she needed and left money for her afterward.
What mattered to Kristin
Kristin also described the difference that responsive communication made. She appreciated having her questions answered and knowing that her knee injury was being taken seriously.
Her account connects the settlement to the problems she brought to Brian: an injured knee, work that required her to stand and a claim she had spent about a year trying to resolve.
