- Recovery: $712,500 Settlement
- Injury: Finger tendon injuries requiring two surgeries
- Practice: Transportation Accidents
- Attorney: Vuk Vujasinovic
Two companies, two competing accounts
The collision occurred on an interstate in North Carolina. A Mason-Dixon tractor-trailer pulled in front of the Greyhound bus, which rolled onto its side. Each company blamed the other, and their reconstruction experts reached opposing conclusions.
Questioning the defense medical expert
Maria sustained torn tendons in two fingers. Vuk deposed Greyhound’s medical expert, whose testimony supported the medical basis of her claim.
Keeping the case moving
Vuk and the VB Attorneys team defeated the trucking defendants’ challenge to the Texas court’s jurisdiction. More than twenty depositions were taken, some together with another passenger’s case.
A $712,500 settlement
The case did not resolve at mediation. Litigation continued, and approximately a month later the parties reached a $712,500 settlement.
