Three women were killed after a fatal head-on crash in Phelan, California. The California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were quickly dispatched after one of the vehicles involved in the accident burst into flames. Our law firm is currently investigating the incident on behalf of one of the victim’s families.

A Fatal Car Accident

The collision was reported on April 16th on Palmdale Road, west of Sheep Creek Road at a stretch of road where a small hill obstructs vision. The collision involved a black 2002 BMW and a green 1993 Honda Accord Hatchback. The San Bernardino County firefighters arrived within 10 minutes of the accident to find the three victims deceased on arrival. There were no survivors in either vehicle.

Although many details remain unclear at this time, witnesses say the green Honda Accord was attempting to pass the vehicle in front of them while traveling uphill, consequently, driving into oncoming traffic without a clear view of what lay ahead - the black BMW. Officer Michael Mumford of the California Highway Patrol told reporters that “[they] will be sorting the scene evidence, and...  contacting the family to obtain a timeline before [they] put a party at fault.”

As our law firm continues to investigate this accident, we urge anyone with any information regarding this tragedy to contact the California Highway Patrol office at (760) 241-1186.

Our sincere condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones in this tragic accident.
