Roberta “Ro” Taherivand is a Senior Paralegal at VB Attorneys with more than 27 years of legal experience. She is Board Certified as a Paralegal in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and she is able to handle cases from filing through trial.
Ro joined VB Attorneys in 2020. She supports the firm’s attorneys in complex plaintiff-side matters from pre-litigation through trial, including maritime, commercial motor vehicle, and mass tort cases in federal and state courts across multiple jurisdictions. Her work covers client communication and case status reporting; drafting and coordinating discovery responses and pleadings; ordering, reviewing, summarizing, and logging medical records; managing large-scale document productions; scheduling depositions; and liaising with expert witnesses.
She has prepared pretrial filings and trial materials in a range of venues and has provided on-site trial support for jury trials in Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Washington. Earlier in her career she managed heavy litigation dockets at defense firms, including a large asbestos docket — experience that gives her a clear view of how the other side builds a case.
Ro’s extensive legal experience at both plaintiff and defense firms makes her a great asset to the VB Attorneys team.
