Injured Workers Hire VB Attorneys After Scaffold Collapse

Posted on Oct 19, 2015

A block-long, seven-story tall scaffold collapsed in downtown Houston on Friday, October 16, 2015. Six workers were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries they sustained in the collapse.

Three of the injured workers, Tomas Ruiz, Victor Rubalcava, and Jose Luis Martinez, have hired our firm to investigate the cause of the collapse. The development under construction is owned by the Finger Companies, and as our investigation into the cause of the collapse begins, we will be identifying the parties responsible for our clients' injuries.

On October 20, 2015, we filed a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the Finger Companies and Triple S Masonry to prevent any evidence from the collapse from being altered or destroyed in any way. The TRO also allows us to have the scene of the accident inspected by an independent investigator.
