Sarah was a passenger in a Ford Expedition that was traveling northbound on Blackhawk road in Houston, Texas.  A Corolla traveling east on Fugua ran a red light, causing the Expedition to hit its passenger side.  Sarah mainly hurt her low back in this car accident.

The driver of the Corolla had insurance with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.  The insurance company denied Sarah's claim.  After that, Sarah hired at VB Attorneys to handle her claim.

VB lawyers filed Sarah's car accident case in Harris County, Texas.  The insurance company lawyers claimed the accident was not their client's fault.  VB attorneys obtained the police report as well as deposition testimony of the drivers involved, and proved that liability was indeed on the driver of the Corolla.

Sarah's doctors said she needed a low back surgery after this crash.  The specific procedure recommended for Sarah was "intradiscal electrothermic therapy," or "IDET."  Sarah had this surgery about a year after her car crash.

VB attorneys negotiated a settlement for Sarah shortly before the date the case was set to start trial.  Part of the proceeds of Sarah's settlement will be placed in to a structured annuity that will pay Sarah over many years in the future.
