Galley hand gets settlement for offshore shoulder injury

We are pleased to announce that Curtis Bickers settled a Jones Act case for $110,500.00 yesterday. Our client was a galley hand on an offshore rig in the Gulf of Mexico last year when he injured his shoulder carrying a large laundry bag that became snagged on a door.

Curtis' client is a hard-working husband and father of two children who struggled to support his family because the company he worked for refused to take responsibility for his injury. As a result of the settlement, the client netted more than $60,000.00.

After talking with many attorneys at other firms who refused to handle his case, our client called Curtis who had handled other maritime cases against the same company and their hired attorneys. The settlement was negotiated less than ten months after filing the lawsuit.
