Sgt. Matt Novotny was seriously injured in a major motorcycle accident in December and has been released for home rehabilitation.

Novotny is the head of the Pasadena Police Department’s motorcycle division and was escorting a funeral procession in south Houston when a vehicle smashed into him at the intersection of Almeda Road and West Fuqua.

After spending more than three months in the hospital, Novotny will be returning to work in May. He recently started walking again with the help of a walker.

Motorcycle accidents happen every day due to negligent drivers on the road. Don’t become a victim!
