A driver named Donald Waldenmayer from Lubbock was driving west bound on I-40, near Alanreed, when he tried to pass an 18-wheeler truck going the same direction.

When Waldenmayer was in the middle, the 18-wheeler veered into his car and pushed it into the center median where they collided.

The driver and the passenger of the 18-wheeler didn’t have life threatening injuries and were sent to Northwest Teas Hospital.

The passenger inside the 18-wheeler was not wearing a seat belt.

In America, 18-wheeler trucks are monsters of the road and they must ALWAYS be passed with caution. It is unclear what the exact details are about the accident, but one must always assume that if you are competing with an 18-wheeler, you will lose every time.
