A Carrollton Police Officer Almost Dies In A Car Accident While Helping A Motorist

A Carrollton police officer narrowly escaped what could have been a horrific car accident Saturday night. The officer’s car was unrecognizable after a woman plowed into it with her Nissan Pathfinder.

Officer Jef Sallee was not in his car at the time, though looking at the damage chanced are he would not have survived. 

Sallee was in the vehicle moments before the SUV smashed into it on North Stemmons Freeway, south of the President George Bush Turnpike. As Sallee got out to help a stranded motorist, the incident happene.d 

The SUV’s driver and a 7-year-old child who was with her were taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The woman was given a mandatory blood test and could face charges depending on the results.

One thing the Carrollton Police Department does know for sure, Officer Sallee’s squashed squad car is a wrecked witness to the perils of police work.

Officer Sallee reportedly shook from the close call and went back at work the next day.
