Two Suspected Drunk Drivers Collide in Houston Car Accident

Interstate 45 southbound was completely shut down this morning after two suspected drunken drivers were involved in a car accident in north Houston.

Officials responded to the accident scene at about 2 o'clock on Saturday morning on I-45 near the I-10 interchange. It appears as of a car driven by an alleged drunk driver had slammed into the back of a truck in one of the southbound lanes.

Police believe the driver of the truck was also intoxicated, as he was passed out behind the wheel. There has been no official confirmation about whether the truck driver was drunk, but the police have stated he was possibly intoxicated. Considering the truck driver was arrested on the scene, it is quite possible that both drivers were intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The driver of the car sustained several lacerations and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck appeared to be uninjured. Both drivers will likely face charges for their actions.
