Texas City Car Accident Leads To Back Injury Lawsuit

Posted on Jun 16, 2011

A Brazoria County man is suing a Texas City woman after a car accident on Palmer Highway left the man with a number of lingering injuries to his head, back, and neck.

According to the Galveston personal injury lawsuit, Aaron Lewis was turning into a fast foot restaurant parking lot from the highway last winter when he was struck by Anatolia Cordova, who was traveling west.

The Texas lawsuit states that Lewis believes that Cordova was speeding and that she failed to avoid the accident by not braking in a timely fashion or turning her vehicle to prevent the crash. In the wake of the accident, Lewis says that Cordova’s negligence behind the wheel caused him a number of serious injuries, including a spinal injury, a shoulder injury, a head injury, and leg injuries in addition to full-body bruising and soreness. Even over a year after the car accident, Lewis says that he suffers from lingering affects of his injury, including dizziness, depression, mobility issues, and sleep issues.

In addition to the compensation he is seeking for medical bills and pain and suffering, Lewis is also asking for the woman to cover the full cost of the property damage that took place to his car that day. All in all, he is seeking $12,000.
