Houston high-speed chase ends in violent rollover crash

A high-speed chase ended Thursday morning when the suspect's vehicle flipped several times and came to rest on the front lawn of a home.

The chase started just before 10:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Telephone Road when police tried to stop the suspect, who was wanted on a felony warrant.

The suspect fled onto Interstate 45, where he blew past other drivers, at times swerving onto the narrow shoulder to pass. He exited the freeway in northeast Houston, roaring through a largely industrial area at high speeds. A long trail of police cruisers with lights flashing followed the suspect at a distance as he circled through the area.

The chase ended when the suspect lost control in the 4100 block of Majestic Street. He was speeding down the residential street when his car fishtailed. When the suspect tried to regain control, the car spun sideways and flipped, rolling over multiple times before coming to rest upright in a yard.
