Grammy winning singer Emilio, wife injured in San Antonio car accident

Grammy-winning Tejano singer Emilio Navaira is still recovering from a March bus wreck -- but he's back in the hospital today after another traffic accident.

Authorities say Emilio and his wife, Maria Navaira, are in stable condition at University Hospital after their car and a truck collided.

Police believe Maria Navaira was driving at the time of yesterday's wreck. The truck driver wasn't hurt.

Emilio Navaira has been undergoing rehabilitation since driving and wrecking his tour bus in suburban Houston. Police found he had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit for driving.

The singer has had two brain surgeries.

Emilio had been undergoing rehab in Houston until Hurricane Ike caused the couple to return to San Antonio, where yesterday's wreck happened as they returned from a session.
