VIDEO: Why is the insurance company for this truck driver denying the claim of a Houston woman who was seriously injured when the trucker hit her?

This is a video of the testimony of a truck driver, Mr. Willie Nells. Mr. Nells was on the job with Venture Transport, a trucking company, when he disregarded a turn lane and crashed in to a van driven by a Houston woman. The investigating Houston Police Department officer reported the crash was 100% the fault of the trucker.

The woman sustained herniated discs in her spine and her doctors had to perform a fusion neck surgery. She is going to have various physical impairments for the rest of her life.

However, the insurance company for the trucker and the trucking company denied her claim from the get go.

The woman who was hit by Mr. Wells' truck hired our Houston Car Accident Attorneys to represent her in a lawsuit against the trucker and the trucking company, Venture Transport.

After you listen to his testimony, ask yourself: Why is the insurance company covering him denying the woman's claim?

This testimony was taken many months ago. Yet, the insurance company has not offered a single penny to the injured party.

Why would an insurance company do this? You can find the answer to this question and many more by reading our article on insurance company games.

Finally, here is an interesting note: the defense lawyers the insurance company hired in this case also represented a truck driver in a prior Houston Car Accident Lawsuit handled by our law firm. In that case, they represented a truck driver who was driving his semi-rig while intoxicated, rear ended our client, fled the scene without rendering assistance, and was later caught by the police. Amazingly, the insurance company in that case offered our client an absurdly low amount of money so we took the case to trial. The jury saw the case differently from the insurance company and its lawyers: it rendered a verdict for our client in the amount of $662,109, which included a substantial amount for punitive damages. Unfortunately, it appears as if the insurance company and their lawyers did not learn any lessons from their defense of the drunk truck driver hit and run case.
