The most effective way to research a Texas personal injury lawyer is to interview the lawyer. When you interview the lawyer, be sure to ask them the SEVEN CRITICAL QUESTIONS you should ask any lawyer before hiring them to handle your personal injury case.

But before you interview the lawyer, you should do some research. Go to the Texas State bar website section on "Find a Lawyer." Type in the attorney's name or bar card number, and you will be provided with a profile of the attorney. You will be provided with the following information on the lawyer:

* Address and primary law practice location;
* Date they received their law license and whether the license remains current;
* Name of the law firm they work for;
* The attorney's primary practice areas;
* The lawyer's or law office's language capabilities;
* Other courts and states in which the attorney is licensed to practice law;
* Where the lawyer went to law school and when they graduated;
* Whether the attorney is "Board Certified" in any area of law;
* The attorney's disciplinary history.

All of this is very useful information to anyone trying to decide on who to hire as their lawyer.
