Can parties other than Toyota be liable after an accident involving a Toyota Recalled Vehicle?

A: Yes.  However, this is a very case-specific question. 

For example, another vehicle on the road involved in the wreck may share some responsibility for a Toyota recall accident if that other vehicle should have been able to avoid the accident.  Or, perhaps a rental company rented a Toyota vehicle AFTER the recall, in which case the car rental company may share in some liability.

In most cases involving a crash of a Toyota recalled vehicle, Toyota will have most or all of the liability.  However, an experienced product defect lawyer will know when to include other persons or companies when appropriate.
