Toyota's President has better things to do

The U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee has schedule a hearing for February 24, 2010, to discuss the Toyota recall.  However, Toyota's President, Akio Toyoda, will not attend.  Instead, the Toyota North America chief excecutive Yoshi Inaba will attend.

It seems like Toyota's President should make the time to attend this hearing in light of the massive safety hazards presented by his company's vehicles which has resulted in a Floor Entrapment Recall and Pedal Recall.

No reason has been reported for Toyota's President's refusal to attend this hearing.
