Three Young Men Dead After Turnertown Car Crash

Three young men are now dead after a fatal car accident near Turnertown on Saturday night. All of the victims were wearing their seatbelts.

19-year-old Blake Winfrey was driving his car northbound on Texas 24, carrying 17-year-old Nicolas Ramon Garza and 21-year-old Tomas Garza.

The car apparently veered into oncoming traffic, forcing Winfrey to try and steer the car back to its correct position on the road. In the process, he lost control and smashed into a tree. They all died at the scene.

Though it is unclear if the Garzas are related, the Department of Public Safety says that they resided at the same address.

Investigators are still in the process of figuring out more details, like if Winfrey was drinking and driving or if any of them were drinking. If they were all wearing their seatbelts, the impact must have been drastic.
