The estate of a Spring man who was killed while on the job has filed a
Harris County wrongful death lawsuit against the roofing company where he worked.
Exactly two years ago, Jose Perez was working as a day laborer on the roof of a building as an employee of All Seasons Roofing. During the workday he fell from the roof of the building onto the ground below, suffering a traumatic brain injury. Though he was rushed to the hospital and placed on life support, he died 13 days later after he was declared brain dead and taken off of his breathing machine.
It is unclear how the fatal
worker accident took place or whether the roofing company had taken all reasonable safety measures to prevent worker falls. Perez’s surviving family members are seeking $5 million in damages, including court costs.
