One Killed, Two Injured In Metro Bus Collision

In Bethesda, Maryland, A two vehicle bus crash involving a Metro bus and a Toyota Tacoma left one person dead and ten people injured.

49-year-old Nkono Ayaovi Edorh was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup on the Rockville Pike southbound lane when the truck crossed the median and drove into the northbound lane, where it collided with the Metro bus. The bus veered off the road and hit a tree, seriously injuring the driver and nine of its passengers.

Edorh was killed from the crash.

Investigations are underway as to the reason why Edorh’s truck crossed the median. There have been no reports of witnesses, so the possibilities can be many.

Metro buses are gigantic vehicles and can cause major damage when involved in a crash, especially since most buses do not have seat belts for their passengers.
