Nautilus Recalls 10,000 Schwinn 460 Ellipticals

According to the U.S Product Safety Commission, Nautilus, Inc. has issued a recall for about 10,000 ellipticals with the model name Schwinn 460.

Nautilus, Inc. is located in Vancouver, Washington and has developed such products like Bowflex, PEARL iZUMi, Schwinn Fitness, StairMaster, Trimline, and Universal. For over 30 years, they have been supplying exercise machines marketed as applying greater resistance in motions where muscles are strongest, reaping better results.

The Schwinn 460 was proved to be dangerously defected when one consumer was working out on the machine and the foot plate detached, causing him to strike his knee. Nine other similar reports have been documented.

For $1,000 consumers could buy the Schwinn 460 online and in selected stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods between July 2008 and May 2011.

Consumers are supposed to trust the makers of their products to deliver a safe and reliable product, and when it shows to be defective, the consumers have a right to know.

If you or anyone you know has been affected by a defective product, contact the attorneys at V&B for free information and a free evaluation. Toll free: 888-473-1258.
