Man Killed After Ethanol Flash While Inspecting Tanker Truck

An unidentified man has died today after being burned when residual ethanol flashed while he was inspecting a tanker truck.  The accident happened at CES Environmental Services located at 4904 Griggs near Carol.  According to Arturo Michel with the Houston City Attorney's Office, the accident happened around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.  Officials have indicated that the ethanol flashed when the man used an inspection lantern to examine the tanker truck.

Hopefully an investigation will be conducted to determine what caused the inspection lantern to ignite the residual ethanol and cause this tragedy.
