Truck Carrying Liquid Hydrogen Overturns, Shuts Down I-10 August 6, 2007 Both directions of traffic on Interstate 10 west of Winnie were shut down Monday morning following a major wreck that involved a truck carrying liquid hydrogen. The highway was shut down so that a hazardous materials crew could clean up the highway. Traffic was diverted to U.S. 90 and Texas 65 for a time and Interstate 10 reopened on Monday afternoon, according to information from the sheriff's department. The Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and the Chambers County Sheriff's Department deputies worked the scene, according to the sheriff's department. Read more here
