A League City man was involved in a one-car accident on South Shore Boulevard in the early hours of Tuesday morning, according to a local Houston news source.
League City Police reported that 23-year-old Justin Freeman was approaching the intersection of East FM 518 when witnesses say he ran through a red light, lost control of his pickup truck, and crashed into several obstacles, including a street sign and a tree. Emergency responders found that Freeman was ejected from the passenger side window of his vehicle when it rolled and a medical professional pronounced him dead at the scene of the crash.
Freeman, a bartender and waiter at local burger restaurant Tookies, leaves behind a four-year-old daughter. The Texas pickup truck accident is under investigation, and it is not yet clear whether drinking, speed, or reckless driving were factors in the fatal League City wreck.

It is sad cases like these that serve as stark reminders to wear your seat belt at all times when you are behind the wheel. Seat belts are designed to keep you in the cab of a pickup truck during rollover incidents and prevent those in the cab from being ejected through a window or windshield. League City, drive safe and buckle up to prevent car accidents and injuries!
