Investigation Underway For A Hit-And-Run In Tyler TX

On Saturday, at the intersection of w. Gentry Parkway and N. Bois D’Arc in Tyler, TX, an unidentified male was the victim of a hit-and-run accident.

According to witnesses, the man was walking northbound on N. Bois D’arc attempting to cross Gentry Parkway when a vehicle struck him. The vehicle was identified as a blue or green Chevy Caviler or similar body type.

The car failed to stop and help the man after the accident and continued eastbound on W. Gentry Parkway. It is unclear if the man had the right of way or not, but some are saying it has the smell of a hate crime. The victim was a Hispanic male and according to some sources, he was clearly in the line of vision.

The victim was taken to East Texas Medical Center for life-threatening injuries. The driver has yet to be found, but an investigation is currently underway.
