Houston Truck Accident - Good Samaritan Injured In Houston
A driver who stopped to help another car on the North Sam Houston Parkway was injured when his car was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler recently.
The accident happened on January 9, 2008 early in the morning.
Houston is one of the most dangerous cities in the United States when it comes to truck accidents. In fact, according to some studies, Houston has more truck accidents than almost any other U.S. city.
Why? First, Houston has a lot of truck traffic and big rigs on its highways. With a large number of trucks, more accidents are bound to occur.
Second, while most trucking companies and drivers operate their companies and rigs responsibly, unfortunately, some trucking companies cut corners on safety and some drivers truck drivers don't pay careful attention to what they are doing.
Truck accident cases require lawyers with experience taking on big truck companies and their insurance carriers. Simply put, trucking cases are generally more difficult, costly, and complicated than simple car wreck cases.
So if you or a loved one is involved in a truck accident in Houston, Texas (or elsewhere), make sure you interview lawyers who have actual, real-life experience handling truck accident cases. You should even consider asking the lawyers whether they have handled a real truck accident cases before and if so, ask them to tell you about what kind of money in settlement or trial they have been able to obtain for past truck accident victims.
