Houston Personal Injury Lawyers Report Truck Accident Case Results in Settlement

Today the Houston media is reporting that the City of Houston is paying $225,000 to settle a wrongful death case involving a crash between two fire trucks and a bicyclist.  The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries.  A Houston Personal Injury Law firm represented the family of the deceased bicyclist.

To many who read this story, it may appear that this amount of money is very low for the loss of a life.  However, keep in mind that cases against government entities, such as the City of Houston, have "caps" that limit the damages that may be obtained.  It is likely that this case was settled for the maximum amount under those caps.
