Texas state lawmaker arrested for ambulance chasing

According to the Houston Chronicle, State Rep. Ron Reynolds was arrested yesterday for ambulance chasing.  This is a practice where lawyers unethically and illegally approach injury victims and try to get them to hire that lawyer for their case.  It is ironic that a state legislator would engage in this behavior, as the Texas Legislature recently enacted a civil law providing remedies to people who fall victim to this inappropriate practice.  We recently posted a video on the new Texas ambulance chasing law.  It would be interesting to see how this lawmaker voted on the ambulance chasing law that he is alleged to have violated?

German Plant Explosion Puts A Halt In The Car Industry!

Two weeks ago, an explosion at a German chemical plant called Evonik killed two workers. However, the explosion created a bigger crisis in the car industry.

Have you ever heard of Nylon-12?

Nylon-12 is a resin that is used in ever car brake and fuel line around the world! It is known for its durability, flexibility, and chemical stability. Not only is it used in cars, but its used in the medical world and in the solar power industry.

Nylon-12 is only made at a few places in the world, Evonik being the main place!

A French firm named Arkema also had to hault work on the chemical since they get raw materials from Germany. Ube, A Japanese company which supplies Nylon-12, suffered setbacks following the 2011 earthquake.

To sum it up, the explosion at Evonik cut the world’s supply of Nylon-12 by half!

General motors and Toyota, along with other major carmakers, had an emergency meeting in Detroit to discuss the matter and draw up an action plan. They are working to see if another chemical can replace Nylon-12.

When new chemicals get used in cars, it requires up 5,000 hours of testing. This will not be feasible before all the nylon-12 in the world runs out.

It is believed that this disruption will affect Europe primarily, since the U.S. and Asia had enough Nylon-12 to last for several weeks.

Till then, I’m sure the carmakers around the world are rushing to get their army in check.

Adolescents Are Much Less Safer These Days. Parents Must Take A Stand.

A study of 563 adolescents ages 11 – 14, ranging from a variety of social, racial, and ethnic backgrounds was taken.

Things such as illness and lifestyles were examined, including injury-related behaviors.

In America, our children should be paid much more attention to in these categories.

Teen death is high on the rise and every accident which results in a death can be well reversed.

In the study, a majority of the group had tried alcohol and tobacco. Almost a third had used marijuana. 21% were sexually active. More than 75% of the group had visited a physician within the year which suggests how important the role physicians can be in supplying information and being a positive role model.

The fact is that it is a different world than it was even just ten years ago. We cannot look at children as naïve, but instead we must begin to view them as a new generation that is a part of a new society in America.

With internet and smart phones, it is very easy for small children to make mistakes which could end them up in a horrible accident.

Visit our website to learn more about what the law states about negligent accidents.

We urge you to do some research. Our site is updated every day with FREE information that can help you to gain insight on your situation.

Military Doctors Are Misdiagnosing PTSD!

New questions are being asked about how military doctors are diagnosing PTSD.

Some people are saying that due to the cost of treatment it takes to treat brain injuries, doctors instead are giving military men false hope by saying that they have PTSD, when really they have a serious brain injury!

An example of this practice is Will Cook, a 22-year-old former U.S. army specialist. He lost part of his leg in Iraq and doctors believe that he is suffering from a traumatic brain injury, though military doctors said it was PTSD.

CLICK HERE TO READ ABOUT I.E.D, A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY MILITARY MEN RECEIVE FOLLOWING AN EXPLOSION.

When Cook came home, his memory was not where it was. Retaining information was difficult for him and he drew blanks on words in the middle of sentences. He had anxiety and crippling headaches.

According to Cook, the military doctors didn’t give him all his options.

The military culture is so focused on the mission at hand and they have so many people in combat that they often don’t have time to investigate each patient.

Money can be a factor as well.

After Cook received more than 30 hyperbaric oxygen treatments for his brain, his headached are gone. He is retaining information better, his anxiety has gone down, and his memory has brightened.

2010 Helicopter Crash In Idaho Is Now Solved

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, there are now answers as to the reasoning of a 2010 helicopter crash that killed two state wildlife biologists and their pilot.

The report says that the crash was caused when an aluminum clipboard belonging to one of the biologists somehow fell out of the aircraft and hit the tail rotor. It’s unclear if the clipboard came from an external luggage or from inside the cabin.

The pilot stowed most of the biologists’ equipment in the aircraft’s external racks and according to witnesses, pieces were flying from the chopper before it landed in Kamiah, Idaho.

The pilot broadcasted on the radio that he was landing in Kamiah and within four minutes, the helicopter went down on a downtown street.

The debris path was 1,500 feet long and it included parts from the tail rotor and clipboard. The clipboard showed signs of striking the tail rotor, including paint transfer marks. It is still unclear as to why the pilot decided to do a landing, or if they were even aware of the issue.

Those killed were 47-year-old Larry Barrett and 34-year-old Danielle Schiff, Idaho Department of Fish and Game biologists who were to count salmon spawning nests in the Selway River. The pilot was 43-year-old Perry J. Krinitt of Belgrade, Montana.

Are Bicyclists Getting Harsher Punishment Than Drivers?

There’s no doubt that reckless bicyclists can be very dangerous, but are policemen becoming too involved with cyclists that they are overlooking distracted drivers?

Recent action has begun an uproar among the cycling community. The New York Police Department ticketed more cyclists than truck drivers last February and now, they say, they will be keeping track of all accidents involving cyclists. This means a full accident report.

Pedestrians get injured by cyclists every day, but drivers injure and kill people at a much higher rate than someone on a bicycle.

Every crash that has an injured person should be taken seriously and distracted bicyclists should be held accountable. However, dangerous drivers are constantly given free passes, free warnings, and constant forgiveness if they are driving recklessly on a highway. We've all seen it!

Around the country, police departments are consistently failing to properly investigate crashes involving cars and trucks.

When will we as a nation start to take dangerous driving seriously?
