A worker was killed yesterday afternoon when a Central Texas gas well blowout occurred near Camp Creek Lake near Franklin. The worker was struck by a length of pipe when the blowout happened. The well crew was able to quickly shut off the gas leak. No other injuries have been reported.
At this time, there have been no details released regarding an investigation.
