Conroe Car Dealership Sued After Steering Wheel Malfunction Allegedly Causes Crash

Who could be responsible for your car accident and injury? While many people are familiar with personal injury lawsuit that sue for the negligence of another driver, the manufacturer of the vehicle, or even the entity that designed the road, in some cases, a automobile mechanic or car dealership could be responsible for your accident and injury.

Here’s one recent case:

This month in Harris County, truck accident victim Randy Scott and his wife Valerie Scott filed a personal injury lawsuit against three car dealerships: De Montrond Auto Country in Conroe, A.C. Collins Ford in Pasadena and Gullo Ford Mercury in Conroe.

According to court papers, Scott was driving his truck on the Hardy Toll Road when his steering wheel column malfunctioned, causing him to lose control of his truck and crash. He suffered a number of injuries and is now suing for compensation. According to Scott, he had had a number of problems with his truck since he purchased it from Gullo Ford Mercury a little over a year before the accident. In addition, he says that A.C. Collins Ford most recently worked on the truck and caused a missing pin in the steering column that ultimately caused the car accident.

Scott and his wife are suing for actual damages, compensatory damages, and special damages as well as court fees and attorney fees.
