At 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, divers recovered the body of 29-year-old Kristina Cole Frost, who was missing after a fatal boat accident on Lake Conroe. Her body was found not far from the site of the crash, which took place the previous night. Frost’s 9-year-old son, Jason Frost, and 30-year-old sister, Leilanli Cole, died at the scene of the accident, and multiple others were injured. While this news ends the search for victims and brings some closure after the fatal accident, the cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
Causes of Fatal Boat Crash Remain Unclear
According to early reports, the accident took place when a bass boat came around a corner on Lake Conroe and collided with a pleasure boat. The collision caused extensive damage to both boats, took the lives of three people, and left at least three more injured. Investigators have removed both boats from the water and are attempting to reconstruct the accident. The two men in the bass boat have said that they couldn’t see lights on the other boat, but those reports are still unconfirmed. While much is still unclear, it is not believed that alcohol was a factor in this crash.
