Apartment complex drowning death results in lawsuit against apartment complex

The Houston Chronicle is reporting today that the parents of a child who drowned at an apartment complex have sued the complex.

According to the lawsuit, the apartment complex did not have adequate fencing and the pool itself was in disrepair.

In an ideal world, parents would never lose sight of their kids.  However, everyone makes mistakes, even split second mistakes, and that's why it's so important to have back-up safety measures in place.  In fact, the City of Houston has laws and ordinances which require apartment complexes to be maintained in a safe manner.
