One man is dead from a motorcycle accident on Friday in Amarillo.
A female motorist was driving a 2012 Kia sport on Texas Loop 335. She carried a male passenger when she turned left onto Coulter Street in front of a 2008 Ford F-250, driven by Benny Sadler.
Sadler was driving east on the Loop when he struck the Kia and its two riders.
Both the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital after medics arrived on the scene in the early afternoon. The male passenger was declared dead at the hospital. Potter County Justice of the Peace Thomas Jones has ordered an autopsy on the victim.
The driver of the Kia is still in the hospital and is being treated for life-threatening injuries. Sadler did not sustain any injuries from the crash.
Amarillo police’s Traffic Investigation Division is investigation the crash and are withholding the identities of the two victims.
