60-Year-Old Man Turned Away From Hospital With Broken Neck

In the United Kingdom, on December 16th, Bob Davies was turned away from a hospital after suffering a broken neck from a fall, being told he was just another “Friday Night Drunk.”
Davies is 60-years-old and a self-employed plasterer. On the evening of the 16th, Davies was out with a few friends when he nearly fainted and fell over. The next thing he knew, he was rushed in an ambulance to the Princess Royal Hospital. It was there he was sent home in a taxi, despite insisting he couldn’t move his arms and legs.
The next day, his wife Hazel called a local medical helpline. A doctor on the line told Mrs. Davies to call an ambulance so Mr. Davies can be examined properly, in fear he may have suffered a stroke. After an X-ray and a CT scan, they discovered Mr. Davies had a broken neck. On that Monday the 19th, he was moved to Oswestry’s Orthopaedic where they found his spinal cord damaged, which may prevent future recovery.
Bob Davies must now spend at least six weeks in the Hospital for treatment. A large outcry from his friends and family have surfaced, stating that the hospital didn’t examine Davies properly the first time, despite the fact his arms, legs, and hands weren’t working.
Around the globe, patients get turned away every day from hospitals. Serious injuries can result from these wrong assessments from doctors.
