4 Injured In Chicago Taxi Cab Accident

In Chicago this morning, four people were injured when a distracted driver of a van ran a red light and smashed into a taxi cab, carrying two passengers.
Following the collision, the taxi flipped to its side and flew into a light pole just outside City Hall. The hood of the cab was caved in and the front of the van was flattened.
It was later discovered that the driver of the van did not have a valid driver’s license.
Both of the drivers were taken to the hospital in semi-fair conditions. The two passengers that were in the cab were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A 32-year-old woman in serious condition with head injuries and a 40-year-old man in fair condition.
In most cases, passengers riding in taxi cabs do not typically wear seat belts.
The average driver on the road doesn’t pay attention to the fact that other drivers can be less responsible. Hundreds of drivers are on the same street, the same highway, and at the same time. Negligent drivers exist and they almost ways lead to a near fatal end.
